Applying Chart Templates and Box Styles

This tutorial provides step by step instructions on how to apply Chart Templates and Box Styles. A Chart Template contains a set of rules (e.g. conditional formats) that are applied to a chart. Each rule sets one or more presentation properties of any matched boxes. A box style is a predefined box presentation (e.g. fields shown, color, fonts, etc.).

  1. Select the FILE RIBBON (FILERIB.png) and then click on the openfile.png Open button icon.
  2. Click on the folder called Tutorials.
  3. Double-click on the file called Tutorial 2.
  4. Click on showpanel.png SHOW PANELS button if the right panel is not already shown.
  5. Select the Templates tab (at the bottom of the right panel). Make sure the System Templates radio button is selected.
  6. Double-click on any Chart Template (e.g. 'Classic') to apply the template to the current org chart.
  7. Double-click on templates until you find one you like (don't bother with the photo templates unless you've loaded photos into your chart).
  8. Select the BOX STYLES tab (boxstylesr.PNG). Make sure the System Styles radio button is selected.
  9. Select one or more boxes in the chart. The select.png SELECT TOOL must be selected in order to select boxes. You can extend the current selection by holding down the Shift key when selecting a box.
  10. Double-click on any Box Style to apply to the selected boxes.
  11. Congratulations! You now know how to apply Chart Templates and Box Styles.
