Step 5: Saving and Opening Charts
You can save an unlimited number of charts in your account. You can also use Folders to organize your charts.
» Saving a Chart
Saving a chart in OrgChart is almost exactly the same as saving a file in a Microsoft Office application (like Excel or PowerPoint); however, the chart is saved in your cloud storage so it can be accessed from any web browser (if, of course, you have credentials to log into OrgChart).
To save a chart:
- Select the FILE RIBBON ().
- Click on the Save button.
- If you’ve never saved the chart before, the File Manager is shown.
- Select a destination folder (e.g. “Charts”) or create a new folder.
- Specify a filename (call the chart “QuickStart” - this chart will be referenced later in this guide) and then click on the Save button.
» Opening a Chart
Opening a chart in OrgChart is almost exactly the same as opening a file in Excel or PowerPoint.
To open a chart:
- Select the FILE RIBBON ().
- Click on the Open button. the File Manager is shown.
- Select a source directory (e.g. “Charts” or "Tutorials")
- Double-click on a file (e.g. “Quickstart”)
» Closing a Chart
You can close a chart at any time.
To close a chart:
- Select the FILE RIBBON ().
- Click on the Close button.
- If the chart contains unsaved changes you’ll be prompted to save changes.
