When a chart is refreshed, the original settings (configured using the Import Wizard) are used to determine presentation options (e.g. Chart Template to apply, pagination settings, etc.). You can use the Refresh Properties function to change any of the original settings.

To update refresh properties do the following:

1. Open the desired chart
2. Select the REFRESH RIBBON and then click on the Refesh Properties icon.
3. Select the desired area (Data Source, Filter Data, Define Fields, Assistants, Subcharts, Chart Template, Master Page, Advanced Options).
4. Change properties (see more details below) as desired.
5. Click OK
6. Refresh your chart using the Data Refresh button.

The following properties can be modified:

• Data Source - Change the data file used for refresh (Applies only to the Excel/ CSV data source).
• Filter Data - Change the filter used include/exclude records from the chart. Also, configure Top Box Rule and Multi-chart Document options.
• Define Fields - Define fields mappings from the data source (for example, which field is used as the 'title')
• Assistant Wizard - Define rules for formatting assistants (e.g. automatically set branch style for assistants).
• Subchart Wizard - Define rules for pagination.
• Chart Template - Select the chart template to be applied.
• Master Page - Define rules for updating the master page.
• Advanced Options - Various advanced options
