Any chart created from an external data source can be set to automatically refresh on a periodic basis (daily or weekly).

To Configure

  1. Open the desired chart
  2. Select the REFRESH RIBBON and then click on the scheduler.png Scheduler icon.
  3. Check the 'Automatically refresh chart' option
  4. Set the frequency to daily or weekly
  5. Set the Time for the refresh (all times much be converted to GMT or UTC time)
  6. If refreshing weekly, set the day of the week to refresh
  7. Enter a comma delimited list of emails into the 'Email Notification' text box (recommended)
  8. Click OK

When setting up a scheduled refresh keep the following in mind:

  • To convert time use the following site - http://www.worldtimeserver.com/current_time_in_UTC.aspx
  • If your chart file is moved or renamed any associated scheduled refresh will fail (a notification will go out to the 'Email Notification' list). If this happens you will need to setup up the Scheduler entry again.
  • Only warnings/errors are sent to the email notification list. At this time, email notifications are not sent out for successful refreshes.
  • Refreshes are not guaranteed to occur exactly as scheduled. Refreshes may occur up to 15 minutes after the scheduled time.
  • You can manually refresh at any time using the Data Refresh button (in the REFRESH RIBBON).
