Overview

A zip file allows you to combine many files into a single file. This is especially useful if you need to upload hundreds (or even thousands) of employee photos. OrgChart allows you to unzip files uploaded to your account.

Creating Zip Files

To create and upload a zip file:

  1. Make sure all photos are stored in a single directory (on your computer).
  2. Select All Photos (In Windows Explorer or Mac Finder)
  3. On Windows Computers, right-click on any file (in the selected pictures), select 'Sent to' and then select Compressed (zipped) folder. A zip file will be created.
  4. Rename the zip file to something like 'allphotos'.

Using the Unzip Utility

To unzip a file:

  1. Click on File Mgr icon (located in the FILE RIBBON)
  2. Click on the Upload icon to upload a zip file from your computer to your OrgChart account
  3. Select the zip file
  4. Click on the unzip.png unzip icon to unzip the selected file. All files within the zip file will be unzipped to the current directory.
